Bitter Sweet!
SFL solo event during the tallships festival was about as nerve wracking is it gets for us, but also about as exciting as it gets.

Posting live weights all day was the most fun we could ever have. It left us all feeling like we were in the boat with each angler, living those moments! More marshals would have helped, but some anglers without marshals even spent their own fishing time to send in photos and text in weights. Over 50 live weights were submitted all day.

All in all, this was a test on a plan for better fish care! We even had issues this event with fish care, as the weigh bags were not as fish friendly as needed! With saying that, having only 2 dead fish recorded all day is something we all can be proud of, but again we see the room for improvement.
The weighin was exciting, but again slower than SFL standards, and more room for improvement for us!

Unfortunately the bitter part of the weekend was low support of both anglers and marshals! We can’t thank the anglers and marshals enough that did show up and fish this event, but even with them Sunday was decided to be postponed to not waste anybody’s time or money. 100% not the final way we wanted to end the solo series, but we felt this was best for the majority of the anglers.

Sweet part of the weekend was the excitement of this format, the crew that stepped up, the anglers support and encouragement, and the knowledge that everyone involved was working on something better for fishing!

THANK YOU! And we apologize that it was not bigger and better than we know it can be!
